AGAINST COMMON BELIEF... If you are told that a green building costs more than your source (architect, general contractor, etc.) lacks experience, knowledge, is looking to take advantage of you since the majority believes this to be true, doesn't believe in and/or use an integrated project delivery process (i.e. - TPMg=Total Project Management: Vision to the Power of Green, www.hoffman.net), and above all, doesn't "get it". » read more

The builders today are taking away farmlands and forests, which are our sources of oxygen. People across the sea are destroying rain-forests, which is even more important because of how huge they are. Why would people be destroying these if they all KNOW very well that the Earth isn't doing so well, and we need all the forests and plant-life we can get. The ozone isn't thanking these people because taking away the trees and plants puts more CO2 in the air, since these plants absorb the CO2 and put out oxygen for us. All I want to know is why? Building is a big business, and in this day and age environmentally friendly building is becoming more and more popular. This is because it saves money, and doesn't even take any more time then demolition.
Instead of demolishing a house the builders "deconstruct" the building, sending the materials to people with less then average income, or even reuse the materials from the old buildings. » read more
