In the beginning there was conservation. We sought to save species and special places. we sought to save that and preserve that. Our actions were removed from us and there was a certain measure of denial in our actions. Things still got worse. Then came environmentalism. We were in more of a panic and started pointing fingers. They caused this and they had to mend their ways. We talked of water and air pollution and laid blame at the feet of corporations.
