In the beginning there was conservation. We sought to save species and special places. we sought to save that and preserve that. Our actions were removed from us and there was a certain measure of denial in our actions. Things still got worse. Then came environmentalism. We were in more of a panic and started pointing fingers. They caused this and they had to mend their ways. We talked of water and air pollution and laid blame at the feet of corporations. The Story of Stuff
