Friday September 12th
Last night, while watching the news, I was told to fill me tank up. After thinking about it for a minute, i thaught, do they really think that we are stupid. If we all go fill up at once how can the delivery trucks even began to keep up. I mean REALLY, is there really a shortage of gas right now. Maybe there is a shortage coming in because of huriccane Ike

Hooray! I have finally moved closer to work!
I now live in the way-hip city of Royal Oak and have therefore increased my awesomeness factor by about a bazillion. True that.
Here's the deal:
In one fell swoop, I managed to cut my drive from from 17 miles (each way) to 6. That, by the way, means I now get to sleep in until the time I used to leave for work.
Uber cool.

Are you tired of your lead foot thwarting your best intentions to save gas? Then Nissan's new ECO pedal may be right for you. The car company will be installing the new pedal in Japanese models next year.
Irresistible force meets immovable object.
Here's how it works: When the ECO pedal senses that you're accelerating too quickly, it will actually push back, applying pressure to your foot. The pedal can be switched on and off by the driver. While it is on, it could save 5 to 10% in fuel usage.
Is it safe?

With gas prices seeing their first break in months, it would appear on the surface to be a positive thing for McCain. If this were November, it would be. The US Presidential Election is still months away, and gas prices will rise again. Count on it.

We spend a lot of money paying for gas, but how much do we actually use to move the car? Apparently, we only use about 20% of the gas that we buy. The rest of it is just wasted on heating the road, the tires, and the engine. The reason why is because we lose a lot of it during the energy coversion from chemical energy to mechanical enegy. There is actually no way to use every sigle percent of the energy; some will always get lost in the process.

Thank you to all who contacted their representative and senator last week!!! It was amazing how Bush just went quiet after last Wednesday. Apparently he's on the move again, and EDF has mobilized a petition--the text of which I wanted to share.
Coming soon I will have a cost analysis of the mobilization required after Pearl Harbor was attacked in '41.

What do you think is the best alternative to gas out there?
I know there are many including cars run on vegetable oil, hydrogen, water, ethanol, diesel, electric etc etc but which one is really the better deal, and could be used a lot more in the future.

You can stop spending $4 on gas at the pump . . . here is how
1.) Walk or Bike. Pay nothing at all for gas! Walk or ride your
bike, if you can obviously. It keeps you fit, saves on gas, and
reduces your carbon footprint, and greenhouse gas emissions. Just be
sure to take the weather, it might not be a good idea on really hot
days, or really cold days, be sure to check air quality as well.
2.) Take public transportation. It costs money. So what. » read more
