Industry leaders announced this week that when tax breaks for solar producers run out in 2016, the solar industry will be just fine without them. In fact they believe that solar will achieve grid parity, meaning that it will be the cheapest form of electricity on the market.

We've all heard about the great potential that lies within sunlight. We've heard statistics that suggest the Sun could meet our energy needs many times over. A recent story suggested that a very large solar operation in the Sahara Desert could meet the energy needs of all of Europe.
