    Extending Renewable Energy Tax Credits: It's hard to believe that Congress still seems to be stuck on the extension of renewable energy tax credits set to expire at the end of this year. Even though there is broad support in Congress to continue renewable energy incentives, there is not a consensus on whether revenue offsets are needed, and if so, where they should come from. The strategy of coupling a repeal of oil industry tax benefits to pay for renewable energy credits is losing steam. The most popular credits expiring are the wind production tax credit and the credits for solar energy.
