Greenopolis Foundation powered by EMA

GEMA Greenopolis was created to provide an online platform for communities, organizations, schools, businesses and all people to learn about and discuss sustainable living. Now Greenopolis is working to take these opportunities to the offline world through our Greenopolis Foundation.

The Greenopolis Foundation, in partnership with the Environmental Media Association, was formed to provide grants to students, educators and community groups to use for projects that promote environmental and social sustainability. The Foundation seeks to capture and share the learnings from these projects with the larger Greenopolis community.

About the Grant Program

Greenopolis Foundation grants are available to students, educators and community groups to use toward projects that promote environmental and social sustainability. These grants are available in various amounts ranging from $500-1,000, and are primarily funded by Greenopolis partner organizations. There is no limit on the number of grants awarded each year; Greenopolis and its partners will award as many grants as funds allow.

The Greenopolis Foundation does not favor one particular area of sustainability for grant funding, and is interested in supporting projects that focus on any of the following:

  • Green Energy and Conservation
  • Green Community and Education
  • Clean Water and Air
  • Reuse & Recycling
  • Waste Reduction and Elimination
  • Healthy Soils and Forests
  • Wildlife and Habitat Conservation / Protection
  • Climate Change and Carbon Footprint
  • Healthy Sustainable Food and Agriculture
  • Environmental Health

Check back in the coming weeks for more information on how you can apply for a grant and to view projects that were made possible through Greenopolis Foundation grants!
