How To Make a Picture Frame Using Cardboard Packaging

You can make this project as personalized as you'd like by decorating the frame or you can use the design of the box to accent the photo.

Tools and Materials Needed

  • 1 cardboard box (cereal, oatmeal, brownies, etc)
  • 1 photo
  • Pen or pencil
  • Razor
  • Glue stick

Instructions on How To Make a Picture Frame Using Cardboard Packaging:

  • Cut off all of the extra flaps. All that should remain is the front and back of the boxes.
  • Choose which side you want to be the backing and which the frame.
  • Center the photo on the panel that is going to be your frame and trace the outline.
  • Measure 1/8" inwards from that outline and draw another frame.
  • Using your razor, cut out the inner frame and remove any loose ends.
  • Center the photo onto the cardboard piece to be used as the backing and outline the photo.
  • Using your glue stick fill in where you are going to place the photo.
  • Stick the photo on and press to adhere.
  • Use your glue stick around to fill in around the photo.
  • For the frame, choose the side with the box design or decorate the cardboard side and stick it to the backing.
