I don’t know about you… But I was raised to believe that hell was a place where heat and flames would consume you in misery and pain and you would forever burn in torture for your sins… Apparently the author of the bible never rode a touring bike with 65 pounds of gear against headwinds, up massive hills in a down pour ;) - Yes the weather was horrible today and there were times where I simply screamed out loud… “ You have to be f%^$ kidding me!” but at the end of the day I enjoyed it. Not only did I push myself to the limits and learn how to work with my bike and gear against the weather… I learned a lot about my body and mental toughness.
I want to thank all of you who have donated to my cause and make you aware that it is because of you I pedal hard and smile when the freezing rain hurts and I grip tight when the winds blows and I love to feel the burn when I climb a hill. I cannot thank you enough
As I write this blog entry I am very exhausted and I must get some sleep. I am very lucky to be staying with a tremendous host in Larry Bisbee who runs a local Music Community Center and is doing amazing things in his community here in Maine and I plan to give you more information on that very soon. I have been here for only a few short hours and I already know that I am going to drag my feet when I leave. It is truly amazing to me how kind, honest and helpful the people here in Maine have been.
I am going to rest now. Please check back tomorrow for a more detailed blog post. Goodnight, sleep tight… and do not let the bed bugs bite
Until next time… Take care… and take action.
