It’s all about the kids, right? I mean, the whole notion of sustainability or saving the planet for future generations is meaningless without future generations.
So why would we have our kid’s toys, games and play equipment be any less than 100% green?

That’s the question that Minnesota based Landscape Structures has been asking themselves, and they’ve come up with some pretty good answers so far. For over 20 years, this employee owned company has been putting better and better processes in place in the manufacture of their uniquely designed play structures. This is not just reused tires here.
Their Evos (age 5-12) and Weevos (age 2-5) play structures are not only designed with creative mind and muscle expanding designs, but are made with safe surfaces for your kids to touch and climb all over. They reuse or recycle 100% of their scrap power from their powder coating process, heat their building with recovered heat from their molding process, and save tons water a year by recycling it. Since 1998 they’ve conserved 7,300 tons of landfill waste, 3.8 million gallons of H2O, 1.3 kilowatt hours of electricity, and half a million therms of natural gas just through efficiency processes.

In addition to what they reuse and recycle themselves, they used recycled material in their Permalene panels for the equipment, so you can know that the playground your kids are assaulting has been here before and will be here again for the next generation of “yard apes” to climb around on.
They also put a lot of thought into materials, making sure there are no heavy metals or toxins in the plastics and finishes. They have reduced the carbon footprint of their product by 30% and offset the rest of the CO2 waste produced in manufacturing through the Global ReLeaf reforestation program. They also educate their customers on their website on sustainability topics and help them spot greenwashing.
They even have a Play Naturally line that mimics the kind of trees, rocks and landscapes that we evolved playing on. So for a playground that builds your child’s mind and body today, and protects their planet for tomorrow, do your school, community, and kids a favor and check out the Evos and Weevos play structures.
