Few could argue the idea that Twitter is the king of social networking.
And I really love Tweeting - now. But I’ll admit, I
was once a Twitter moron.
When Twitter first started, it seemed
to me that tweets consisted mainly of nonsense like, “I’m
closing the front door,” or “I’m getting in my car,”
Gee, I’m breathless with anticipation, what will you do next, perhaps
start the ignition? I just couldn’t see the value in tweeting.
Mostly because I thought, hey, I’m a middle aged woman with a serious Oreo jones - unless he’s gonna tweet me a
cookie, I really don’t care what Ashton
Kutcher is doing.
But once I caught on to the idea
that Twitter is really about spreading information on the fly, my attitude
changed. I was hooked when I realized that I could follow
people with similar interests and get actual, valuable information.
I really like that I can have interesting - albeit short - conversations
with interesting, informed people. And I do mean short.
At 140 characters maximum for any one Tweet, 1 lurns 2 b concise.
So if you’re interested in all
things green, which I assume you are if you’re lurking around Greenopolis, then you might want to get your green tweet
