Designed to eliminate negative environmental impact, EcoSmart Fireplaces bring beauty to your home

These flue-less, moveable, open fireplaces are ideal for apartment living. Or any place, really, where you either 1) don’t have access to a chimney or gas hook-up; or 2) care about the planet.

It has the warmth and coziness of a traditional fireplace, but burns clean, renewable denatured ethanol instead of wood or natural gas. When denatured ethanol is burned, it releases water, steam and carbon dioxide instead of toxic emissions. The fireplace has a stainless steel enclosed EcoSmart Burner chamber that contains the blaze. Afterward, there’s simply nothing left to clean up.

The EcoSmart Fireplace comes in several beautiful and functional designs and can be wall mounted or free-standing. It can also be personalized with many different finishes and colors.

My favorite is the Zeta, which is the 2009 Australian International Design Award winner. It’s unique and clever elliptical design is a fusion of leather, wood and stainless steel on a rotating base.
