We want to reward you for your actions. That's why we created Greenopolis Rewards. You can earn points by recycling in our Greenopolis Recycling Kiosks, blogging and commenting on Greenopolis and by recycling at home in selected cities. These points can then be traded in on coupons for meals, entertainment, discounts and more.
This tracker shows the number of tons of recycled materials collected every 5 minutes by Waste Management Recycle America in 2008. Last year, WMRA recycled 7.6 million tons of paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass. We are proud to call them our partner.
Our Greenopolis Recycling Kiosks are a big part of our commitment to conservation, recycling and tracking waste to resources. This Tracker shows the number of bottles, cans and other waste these machines have collected so far. Check our Kiosk Locator on our home page for a Greenopolis Recycling Kiosks near you.
Paula Abdul may no longer be "Forever Your Girl" on American Idol, but her new endorsement for the eco-friendly G2 Golf Stretch Mat may help you and others with back problems sit "Straight Up."
Most people know Paula Abdul as the 80’s pop icon who sang and danced with MC Skat Kat in her hit "Opposites Attract" video, or as the wacky and often disheveled judge on American Idol. But now that she was denied the $20 million annual salary she requested for American Idol, she has to find something else to support. Hence, she has returned to her celebrity endorsement roots.
Remember when she promoted Reebok:
And Diet Coke:
Well, now she’s gung-ho about the G2 Fitness 100% recyclable golf mat:
This mat is available in grey and blue for men, or pink and green for women. It’s also bacteria resistant, washable and has a non-slip surface.
Don’t get me wrong, I rocked Paula’s "Forever Your Girl" tape every day in middle school. I even supported her when she chose Theodore "Ted" Logan (aka Keanu Reeves) to be in her "Rush Rush" video. But she’s kind of hit a few branches on the crazy tree since her comeback with American Idol.
Still, I have high hopes for Paula’s attempt to go green, and if she gets back to dancing and working out, maybe her and former trainer Billy Blanks can create their own Tae Bo/Yoga/Cheerleading Bootcamp!
Cold hearted snakes need not apply (that means you Simon Cowell).
