Raising a family is no easy-task – you strive to do what’s best for your spouse and/or kids each day. Throw the idea of being a “green family” into the mix and oy vey! Things get even more complicated. Or do they? Perhaps with the right resources, things, in fact, become very manageable.

Honeybloom at Home – Author Shannon Honeybloom provides an outstanding perspective on developing a wholesome family environment.

The Green Mama – “The Green Mama team, led by Manda Aufochs Gillespie a.k.a. The Green Mama, teaches interactive and upbeat workshops, provides consulting for businesses and homes, and aims to inspire greener living through The Green Mama blog, website, and other media.”

Trees and Tots – The Trees and Tots blog is a great place to discuss organic, natural, eco-friendly, safe and green topics.

Mom’s Green Shopping List – A veritable wealth of information on every green subject imaginable. Right now there’s a great series on eating to fight cancer – very cool.

The Crunchy Wife – 20-something Daisy writes about her family’s journey to becoming eco-friendly – inspiring, amusing and definitely worth the time to peruse.

Willing to make the plunge and start becoming a more eco-friendly family? Don’t do it alone. Arm yourself with a community (both online and physical) that will support you. The resources listed above are by no means exhaustive, but they’ll certainly put you on the right track.
