Relief organization delivers nearly $3 million in vital medicines and supplies to treat hundreds of thousands of people displaced by flooding
(CSRwire) STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In response to the
devastation caused by recent hurricanes, AmeriCares, a nonprofit
international relief organization, has launched the next phase of its
relief efforts for Haiti today with a massive airlift of medicines and
medical supplies. The shipment, valued at nearly $3 million, has the
potential to treat the emergency medical needs of tens of thousands of
people displaced by the flooding that has followed the storms.
"This has been a harrowing year for Haiti, and AmeriCares is committed to
providing important medical aid to communities affected by the hurricanes
and tropical storms that have swept through the country in recent weeks,"
