Massey Energy Releases Inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report

(NYSE: MEE) announced today the release of the company's inaugural
Corporate Social Responsibility Report. The report provides an overview of
Massey Energy's corporate commitment to and accomplishments in improving
the safety of coal mining, protecting the environment and serving the
community.

East" to Appalachia and the development of new technologies to enhance and
improve environmental testing processes. Finally, the report provides
