Sodexo Expands Corporate Citizenship Team to Provide Client-Focused Sustainability Training
Company’s corporate citizenship leadership team adds senior director to innovate, train managers and bolster client programs
(CSRwire) GAITHERSBURG, Md. - December 2, 2008 - Sodexo, a leading food and
facilities management services company, has appointed Holly Fowler as
senior director of corporate citizenship training and innovation, a move
intended to more deeply connect the company's sustainability strategy with
its 120,000-person workforce in order to drive enhanced results for its
6,000 clients in North America.
Fowler, who has been with Sodexo in leadership and training roles on the
global level for nearly ten years, is an expert on corporate social
responsibility and sustainable development. She is a frequent presenter at
academic conferences worldwide and is currently vice president of outreach
for the Net Impact Boston professional chapter, a global network of
leaders who are generating social and environmental change through
business.
In her new position, Fowler will lead Sodexo's sustainability innovation
by leveraging the company's expertise and experience in serving more than
10,000 individual sites across North America. The effort will extend
Sodexo's ability to deliver unsurpassed sustainability solutions to its
clients and help them achieve sustainability goals. Fowler will play a key
role to help Sodexo achieve its goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,
energy and water use, waste generation, and to promote sustainable
community development.

Prior to joining Sodexo, Fowler was an English professor at the Centre de
Langues Vivantes of the Universite de Grenoble in Grenoble, France from
1998 to 1999, and English lecturer at the Universite de Bretagne
Occidentale in Brest, France from 1997 to 1998. Fowler is a graduate of
Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and holds an A.B. in French and
European history. She is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at Babson College in
Wellesley, Massachusetts, with a focus in sustainability.
