Sept. 4, 2008 - Tririga, a real estate software provider, is marketing a new software application that it bills as "the industry’s first environmental management system to measure, manage, and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from buildings.
The TREES environmental management system assesses initial environmental performance for buildings, and provides tools and reports to reduce the environmental impact of a company's real estate portfolio.
By automating energy measurement and monitoring the company expects its new software to set companies on a path towards meeting critical certification goals such as the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED and Energy Star requirements.
According to Tririga, the company has found that most organizations today struggle to measure and understand their exact carbon footprints and levels of energy consumption.
"Even with advice from environmental consultants and guidance from national organizations on what is required to pass green building certification requirements, organizations can’t take action until they have the right tools in place," says George Ahn, president and CEO of TRIRIGA.
Demos of the TREES software are available on Tririga's website. |
