U.S. Army Sustainability Report 2007
Sustain the mission, secure the future
(CSRwire) December 1, 2008 - This Sustainability Report is an important milestone. It
marks not only the release of the Army's first annual sustainability
report, but the first report from any major federal government agency
using the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) sustainability reporting
framework. It serves to both inform and engage their primary stakeholders,
the American people, and other interested parties on their progress to
embody the principles of sustainability in their operations,
installations, systems, and community engagements.
The United States Army might be fighting two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan,
but that has not stopped them from opening a third front against global
warming.
