Thanks weather persons and Gov Charlie

While weather persons talked all night about Tropical Storm Fay, I slept . . . quite well. My peace is surely a testimony that I believed in them with their non-stop tracking, squiggled drawings from computer models and the mighty cone of predictability. They said it would not intensify to a major hurricane overnight like Charley did in 2005.

The storm came on shore south of us, therefore the tidal surge of about 2 ft, is hardly worth mentioning, happens all the time.  Most importantly, the rising tide should not reach the compost.  Schools are cancelled; this is our equivalent a snow day. 

Thanks also Governor Charlie Crist, all toll roads in Florida are free today as the storm moves up the center of the state.
