There are many ways to go green, some of them having a small impact, and some of them larger, however every little bit helps, whether you like to believe it or not. Thanks to the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, researchers could be well on their way to making a drug that inhibits the cancer cell growth. So far it has only been tested in laboratory settings, and has not been used in drugs, but the discovery is promising nonetheless. So what did they find? A marine compound found off the coast of Key Largo. The university has patented the compound, named largazole, named for its Florida location, and structural features. 1. Use grass clippings as mulch. Whether this means you collect them in a bag and spread them out where yu need them, or just setting it so it leaves it on the lawn. When it comes to kitchen scraps my mother doesn't put them in the trash, but a bucket on the deck and throws her kitchen scraps into it. When it is full she empties the bucket into a pile in the woods on our property. She means well, but I don't know if you can just do that. I think you have to put a little more effort into than that, and it needs to be more than just kitchen scraps. So, I have researched composting and decided to share my knowledge with you, and of course my mother.
