EPA: Global Warming is a Health Threat
The EPA has released a report stating global warming, and the climate change could result in "substantial" health risks, such as heat waves, hurricanes, and pathogens in the future. Other risks include an increase in amount of diseases contracted through food and water. The report comes after the agency recently decided to not regulate greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act. The report claims that in Eastern cities, the warmer climate will create bad air days, similar to that of California. This is because heat shortens the process by which exhaust by products are cooked into smog. It also said that in coastal areas, the rise of sea-level will results in land being washed away.

Johnathan Shradar, an EPA spokesman, said there was no conflict between the warnings in the report and the agency's conclusion that regulation should be put off.
