Energy Independence

My great-great, etc. grandfather was a fellow named Lewis Morris. And Lewis was a principled guy who roughly 232 years ago signed a document that materially changed his life and the world. He and the other signers of this declaration were tired of being oppressed. They saw a wrong in their world and publicly and at great personal risk drew a line in the sand. Should not we their descendents and beneficiaries of their great vision and labors, be willing to do the same. Should we not in their spirit declare our intention to be independent of fossil fuels? Not tomorrow and maybe not in the next generation, but sometime? Something to think about at a time when we think about courage, principles and the sacrifices necessary to bring about change and a brighter future. Robert Morris Ferris (3 votes) »

Freedom!
Declaring independence is incredibly meaningful. Our oppression is of our own making, so we could and should commit to becoming free!
