Okay, okay so it’s a bit later than expected. But I really wanted to tell you guys about the Green Christmas I had this year.

Office Recycling
I work for WM and we have both single stream and confidential shredding in our office. We have also started printing on both sides of paper whenever we can. Another paper saver is burning large reports to CD. They can later be accessed printing only the pages that are needed.

Also - purchase recycled paper in the 1st place.
Many printouts are to proof read and editing.

I am currently working in an
I am currently working in an office on campus and our campus is known for being bi on recycling. We have a confidential recycling bin that is locked, a regular paper recycling bin, plastic bin, aluminum bin, battery bucket, and scrap paper bin (for reuse).
We also keep the air conditioning on a higher setting than most offices would (its a small residential life office in an old house). In addition, they increase the temp when the office closes so it is not over cooling the office when no one is there.
Also, in the fridge in the kitchen we have two sides one for DO NOT TOUCH and the other for PLEASE USE so that way if you decide you don't want something anymore, you can offer it up to other people and not waste it by throwing it away.

That's a fantastice idea. I am going to reporduce this idea at my office in Phoenix, Arizona. How are you handling your fluorescent light bulbs?
