Pope Warns to Take Care Of Environment

Pope Benedict XVI spoke to a sea of youths in Sydney for World Youth Day. He urged the world to take better care of the environment and that we are squandering the earth's resources to satisfy its insatiable appetite for material goods. This was his strongest-ever messages regarding the environment. He spoke poetically of his flight from Rome to Australia, saying the wondrous views from his plane evoked a profound sense of awe, but the earth's problems were also evident from the sky:
