Divorce Hurts the Environment

I was reading an article in the news the other day, and the headline struck me as odd.  It read "Divorce Hurts the Environment".  Admittedly,  I was skeptical, thinking that this was simply another effort by liberals to scare the public.

However, after reading the article, it became perfectly obvious that the authors of the study were correct.  It seems that families that split use twice as many resources as when they were together.  Multiple homes, showers, resource use all doubles when families co-locate.

Obvious, right?
