We're pretty surpirsed that our traumatic traffic situation didn't drop us a few pegs. Our air quality isn't the best. Smoglanta and its urban sprawl make up about 5 million people who drive everywhere. We're so spread out (we like to wiggle our toes I guess), it's impossible to walk or bike most places. The average commute time for Atlantans rises every year. Currently, we're at 30+ minutes. Public transit doesn't become an option until you get inside the "perimeter." That means you must first drive 30 minutes to Hwy 285 then get on a train. We're working on it.

How does your city rank? Were you shocked? Disappointed? Overjoyed? Inspired?
