Going wild

green_heart

I decided 2 months ago that i needed to learn more about nature and self reliance.

So slowly i began to give up things that most people take for granted. At first i really had a hard time.Living on 40 acres of backwoods northern Arkansas there was no cell phone signal,no house phone. No TV and no Internet no hot water and no A/C..it is something hard to adjust to.

All meals were cooked on a open face iron grill,no coal was used only sticks and bark gathered from the beach of the pond.To keep a fire going hot longer, i used a soft ball sized stone and set it under the wood so it could heat up.

Almost all foods came from my garden which produced massive amounts this year including ,Celebrity tomatoes ,beef steak tomato, gold roman tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, cucumber, musk Mellon's,squash, eggplant, green bell pepper, banana peppers, bush beans,

strawberries,and also tarragon,Greek and Italian oregano,spearmint.

I found other ways to conserve energy in the house also.

i keep all lights off in the day time ,and limited use of lights at night,no lights on whenever i go outside.

I  had no vehicle for 2 months either, not using any fuel should help my Eco footprint a lil huh?

i lost 20 pounds since i came here ,and im pure muscle now, being active all day has proved to be the best way to get fit for me,that and eating only organic foods.

check back for more news on my situation, and pics.

As we stand on the precipice of 2009, perhaps we should think about the future.  And part of that thinking may involve re-thinking the whole concept of futures as they apply to investments.  Right now the concept of futures is really one of gambli...
