Food Abundance

  •  The thing I just don't get is why we have so much food and we don't SHARE with other countries, and people wonder why the united states of America is overweight. Its simple if you look from my perspective, See if you own a restaurant there has to be some food left over from a whole days work and I heard that a couple of restaurants gave their left over food to the city harvest truck and I believe that's what every restaurant/ cafe/ diner/any food place should do. For example lets take dunkin donuts and I'll tell you a little bit about the dunkin donuts where i live by, first of all its a health hazard all by its self and their venting system is messed up and they wont get it fixed because their cheap and that's why it looks like there was a fire in there and smells like all left over donuts which stay on your clothes and then you smell like an old donut and they pollute the air by keeping the doors open in there and its just disgusting and they hand out stale donuts and cookies because they NEED MONEY and they cant give food to the city harvest truck because they know other people need it and they just don't care because they're greedy and they know their food will sell so they leave out stale things because they think people dont know the difference and they should just put food aside and give it to the city harvest truck before it gets stale so they're doing something good and they get publicity and more people would go to their store because they see they're doing something good.

well, I know that some places aren't allowed to give out left over food. I know that when I am at school and we have a catered event (by the school) we are not allowed to take any left overs just in case it makes us suck or something. So some people may not want to be liable for anything, some might just not care, and some will donate things. What you can do at home is waste less food in your own home.
