New Hybrid Fuel Cell Car from GM
The new vehicle, named "Provoq", will be a five-passenger SUV-style hybrid, capable of going 300 miles on a single fill-up of hydrogen. It would get 280 miles from hydrogen power and 20 miles from batteries. The Provoq has a solar panel in its roof to power accessories such as the interior lights and audio system. It would go from zero to 60 mph in 8.5 seconds and have a top speed of 100 mph. While I realize that most of these concept vehicles never make it into production due to either lack of interest or the high production cost, it excites me to see a major auto manufacturer making a hybrid that is not only extremely fuel efficient, but decent to look at. Over the years, the majority of hydrogen and electric vehicles have been painfully ugly, and thus have little to no consumer appeal. I think the Provoq is a good looking vehicle that will appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers. With luck, the next President will encourage more development of these types of vehicles, along with the national infrastructure to support a massive change in the way we commute.

Hey, did you get your clear bottle vote in on that beer bottle poll (your avatar)? That car looks sweet. I hope capitalism will encourage developement of these types of vehicles though.
I love it when the high end cars get into game nobody can buy even the low end cars nobody whants to drive that is why the only make one when somebody buys one. also what do you do when we run out of water? hydrogen = more water.
