My children also love reusing jars. (from peanut butter, ice cream toppings etc) My oldest daughter has a few jars in her room that she keeps spare change in that she find around the house, or that I give her. And my youngest likes to make instruments out of them.
Kids can do wonders with stuff you think about throwing out!
