Problem with the Pickens Plan and one so

PrintPrintE-mailE-mail 0 comments

Lets start with explaining a  part of the Pickens plan, which proposes creating wind farms in  the Midwest to shift “America's natural” gas from power generation, freeing it up “to replace imported oil as a transportation fuel”. The problem is that we don’t need a lot of electricity in the Midwest, we need it in the big cities and industrial centers. The Pickens plan to its credit address this by proposing “Building a 21st century backbone electrical transmission grid”. That will take time, millions if not billions of dollars and have a significant environmental impact.
