Hey everybody! Have you seen our new CO2 Footprint Calculator yet? It's a really great way to see your current carbon footprint and to track your progress in the future. If you want to get greener in your personal habits, it helps to know where you'rte starting from, right? So check it out! The calculator will score you on a scale of one to ten, but in case you're wondering how you stack up to the average, see the following figures.

Question 1: The average household puts out 65 gallons of garbage each week.

Question 2: The average household uses 11,000 kWh per year.

Question 3: The average household uses 1,000 therms of natural gas per year.

Question 4: The average household uses 1,000 gallons of propane per year.

Question 5: The average household uses 1,000 gallons of fuel oil per year.

Question 6: The average car gets 23 miles per gallon. The average truck gets 16 mpg. Overall, the national average is 20 mpg.

Question 7: The average American drives 15,000 miles in a year.

Question 8: The average American flies 1,200 miles in a year.

So those are the averages. But you're not average, are you? Of course you're not! You can do much better than these numbers with just a little bit of effort. So stay green!
