The rock band Cake, perhaps best known for the song "Going the Distance," has a lot to brag about when it comes to being green. They recently announced that they outfitted their studio with solar panels so that their next album will be recorded with 100% solar power. 

The band has a page on their site dedicated to the endeavor, which includes a short video and facts about solar power. It's clear that the band not only wants to make a more sustainable album, but that they want to spread awareness as well. Some people may think that solar power isn't yet "mature" as an energy source, but this shows that people are harnessing and benefitting from solar today. And as "traditional" energy costs rise, we may soon see the point where solar becomes more economically feasible.
