Plastic Bags Rant

In this day and age, so many people are becoming eco-conscious. But still, it's not enough. People think that recycling is all you can do, and it isn't. So I think we should all start informing others about things they could be doing to help save the world's resources and clean up our act. For example, Ikea started charging money for the plastic shopping bags that people take out of the store. How awesome is that? It really encourages people to bring their own, or better yet say "I don't need one." Just goes to show you that maybe here is aways that extra inch we could go that could mean a lot. Kinda just ranting now. Go Green!

Makes you think twice, huh?

I also send them to friends and family that live in parts of the world where reusable shopping bags are not available. I really hate seeing people at the store, buying over $200 in stuff, and getting it double bagged in plastic bags. It seems like such a phenomenal waste.

I totally agree. I have

I totally agree. I have finally been coming off my addiction of wasting things and I remember every shopping trip I would return with 20 plastic bags. Oh, the guilt! I think more stores should charge for plastic bags, if not for the environment, for profit motive.
