E-Books are for losers.
Ok, so I was thinking I would do some reading this summer. According to me University Library, People who read are: 13% less likely to live with their parents 28% more satisfied with their lives (how do you get a statistic like this?) 13% less likely to live alone 25% more likely to aim high in their goals So what better way to read than to read sustainably? So I thought I would look into audio and e-books, since I'm so busy and all. but NOOOOO. They'er just as expensive as real books, and most of them require a kindle. I will not spend $300+ for a machine to allow me to read something in digital format, when I already did. It's called a laptop. I have one of those. So I will simply use the public library. It's the reuse part of my sustainable living efforts. I just thought it would be nice to own the books, while not taking up a bunch a wasteful space on my shelves. Some one needs to figure out a way to solve this problem, or make e-books easier to obtain. I also hate that ANYONE can write and sell an e-book. I could spend money on a book that some schmuck with less than a HS Diploma wrote, and wouldn't figure that out until I actually starting reading. LAME.
