Gas used on running a car

We spend a lot of money paying for gas, but how much do we actually use to move the car? Apparently, we only use about 20% of the gas that we buy. The rest of it is just wasted on heating the road, the tires, and the engine. The reason why is because we lose a lot of it during the energy coversion from chemical energy to mechanical enegy. There is actually no way to use every sigle percent of the energy; some will always get lost in the process. (4 votes) »
