Treecosys's blogSomething to think about for 11-4-2009
If all our newspaper was recycled, we could save about 250,000,000 trees, but more staggeringly, 1 billion trees worth of paper are discarded every year.
So I have come up with a new way of looking at this...
When in doubt, use the back, when without a rag, use the paper when without a hankie, use the paper Just keep using it until it's gone, then plant another tree :) It's been a very great while!
It's been a crazy ride, but hey, ol' Treecosys hasn't left you in the dark :) Been very busy working with various charitable and GREEN charities, trying to promote ecological projects and otherwise. Will write more as time goes on.
Love,
Treecosys :) The "Green" Diet
Hey Ya'll,
Well, I myself, (Being a tad bit tubby, and missing my chin) have decided to explore the "Green" Diet. Yep, I'm talking about Vegetarianism. This is only my first week or so, but I've cut out all of my sodas and candy. (Much to the dismay of my sweet tooth) and have been slowly moving off of those temptations such as Meat. After walking into my local Walmart, I found that I was much more conscious of the amount of salt and just random sludge and grudge in our favorite products. Carbon Footprint
Hey Folks!
I recently took my carbon footprint test and found that I myself make about 15,000 pounds of Carbon emissions a year. It was a bit staggering, but when i looked at the bottom of the test, I found that this was not nearly as bad as some levels, In fact, It was actually extremely GOOD! However, In my ever-progressing quest to become carbon neutral, I now find myself faced with ways of eradicating my carbon usage completely. Mussel Shells in Compost?
Yes folks, I was shocked too. It's actually a good thing to put Mussel Shells into your compost. It is great for increasing mineral content in the soil. Here are some things to remember.
The Life of a Tree
Good Morning Folks! Treecosys here with your daily blog!
This is my first blog here on Greenopolis, and I figured, "Hey, What would be a great way to start out my blog?" Then I thought to myself, Why not talk about the life of a Tree. I've always enjoyed just going out in the middle of winter, and watching the trees move in the wind, then in the Autumn, I go outside and see my trees changing and their leaves falling. |
