Production Tax Credit (PTC) update

PrintPrintE-mailE-mail 1 comments

Good news on the production tax credit front! Governors from around the country collectively issued strong support for solar and wind power to get Washington off the dime on extending the production tax credits for renewable energy. They implored Congress to renew tax credits for wind and solar power plants. These credits are slated to expire at the end of the year. Congress seems stuck on how to pay for the costs of the credits ignoring a recent study that they pay for themselves in terms of lower energy costs and job creation. There are numerous projects underway and planned. If Congress refuses to extend the tax credits, these and other exciting developments will have been dealt a devastating blow. vdevito@bowditch.com
