Today was the ribbon cutting ceremony at Whole Foods in West Hollywood, who had just received their GreenOps machines! What a day! I was honored to be a part of it and am thankful to everyone at GreenOps, Whole Foods, Waste Management, and Nestle Waters for putting this function together. In addition, I would like to thank the Honorable Abbey Land, mayor of West Hollywood, for her support in bringing her city to action. Again, what a day! When it comes down to it, what we do as artists is bring a labor of love to mainstream ears, and I can see that same passion in these initiative Very Excited!
I honestly have not been on this site in a while because I have been a very busy little bee. In addition to the normal races of our everyday lives, I have been taking the time to actually approach my own personal experiences with a greener knowledge. Of course, it's still a learning process! I am excited because, for the first time in a while, I am returning to beatloungeradio.com tomorrow evening (7-13-09) at 5PM to fill people in on what's been going on with me for the past couple of months. Why, you ask...well you know that I will attempt to explain it to you in the best diction that this moment will provide me (of course, with lots of edits to make me seem capable). Grammy Weekend Round I
And so it goes. After a nice leisurely drive on a rainy day in Southern California, I arrive at the Los Angeles Convention Center around 12:30pm--an hour early of my schedule. Perfect. This is where my heart begins to pitter-pat a bit faster. I find my way to the credentialing office and register. With a half-hour to kill, I decided to take a walk around to purvey the scene. Grammy's Pre-Blog
As I sit in my school's computer lab between classes on this rainy Thursday afternoon, I can't help but think of what this weekend may hold for me. As a matter of fact, this thought has consumed my mind for over the past week, and it has been difficult to redirect my thought process to that of school itself. To say I am a bit anxious would be an understatement, as I have a job to do and I am intent on doing it well. I am truly thankful to have been given this opportunity, and am thrilled to learn even more about how eco-friendly this event will become. It is a new prece |
