when i went on my vacation this year i stayed at a few major hotels accross the northeast and what i noticed was that they only clean the sheets every3 days to keep water clean because like those big hotels (maryott and hilton) have hundreds of guests and if they cleaned the cheets and pillows and everything else everyday they would have a HUGE carbon footprint so i am glad that those big companies statred to get eco-friendly Ironic... when gardening and planting you should always be aware of how much water you use. you shouldnt water on a hot sunny day. especially with a sprinkler. watering with a pot is ok but some water still evaporates the real time for watering is after dusk when it starts to get dark. during day watering water from a sprinkler is barley even used only 45% of water reaches the ground. 45%! » read more container problem Submitted by Yoz on Fri, 08/01/2008 - 10:14am.
Are gas prices almost as high as milk prices?wow i never thought that would happen when the gas prices were $1 for a gallon but this isnt about gas its about milk you know how milk is sold in 2 types of containers? the big 1 gallon containers and the 1/2 gallon containers the same with orange juice which is also competeing with gas prices. » read more compost Submitted by Yoz on Fri, 08/01/2008 - 10:02am.
Everyone says that compost reduces trash which i think it does too but most people would like to start a compost pile but they say " I dont want my back yard smelling bad " Does a compost pile have a bad scent? i dont know. but what i do know is that if you are a gradener or starting a garden (vegtables, flowers ect.) you can use banana skins,orange skins, leamon skins for organic firtilizers and sometimes those are even better than those other firtilizers that you can find in any garden shop or nusery but the market is puttting more organic firtilizers for sale. » read more |
