And for doing your part, we're providing an extra bonus on top of saving the planet - the Greenopolis Rewards Program.

The Greenopolis Rewards Program is for members who complete specific online actions that encourage personal behavioral changes toward a "greener" way of living. By earning Points, members will be rewarded with a combination of discounts, coupons, products, services, free downloads, and eligible sweepstakes prizes contributed by our Partners.

Unlike Blogging sites or purely pledge-based sites, Greenopolis provides organized howto information, actionable plans, aggregated tracking tools, and the opportunity to learn from an ever-expanding library of unique educational resources. Specific actions performed on Greenopolis.com provide the opportunity to accrue Points - adding up to tangible rewards for your efforts.

Earning Points is FREE AND EASY. Joining the program requires NO credit card and no financial commitment.

Greenopolis.com members accrue Points for a growing number of specific actions completed on the site. Logged in members will earn points for sharing ideas, best practices, adding site content, and completing action plans. Start by Blogging, discussing forum topics, posting polls, or completing weekly surveys (on the way!). Move up to starting online groups and Go Teams to support your community efforts. You can even points for inviting and making friends. Join us and simply start using the site to discover just how many points you can earn today.

Wait, there's more! As additional planned Points Programs are finalized we'll alert you to the new opportunities to accrue valuable points. We're constantly unveiling new functionality on the site to help you earn even more Points while you are learning. Keep an eye out for fun widgets, blidgets, and gadgets - oh my! that will be released over the coming months; as well as announcements about offline (that's "in the real world") activities that will earn Points, such as recycling at local centers, or making greener purchasing decisions for goods and services.

Points are used to calculate your Greenopolis Badge Level. Remember, this site is all about promoting change and tracking progress. As you accumulate points, your Badge level will progress from an Orange level (indicating your commitment to change) to a Dark Green level (a guru of all things sustainable) based on your points total. Points are accrued annually with options to roll-over portions from year to year. To check your total points, Badge Level, and get a rundown on new points earning activities, go to the My Rewards page.

Reaching specific Badge Levels entitles you to Greenopolis Reward Kits. Reward Kits include products, coupons, discounts, and downloadable items contributed by our Partners. As our Partnerships increase, so will the value of the Greenopolis Reward Kits. Looking forward, Greenopolis Clubs and Rewards Catalogs will personalize your point redemption process. You'll be able to sign up for Clubs based on your interests, and exchange your points for discounts, coupons, and special deals on brand name products and services. (launching in 2009).

When you reach specific Badge Levels, you will be able to choose between Greenopolis Rewards Kits. As a Reward Kit option, you may choose to support not-for-profit organizations working on social and environmental issues.
