Any ideas on recycling/reusing...?

luvmyplanet

I make the effort to reuse, recycle, and compost everything possible. However, I am stumped as to what to do with three items:

  • Shorted-out earbuds - Are there any recyclers that would accept them, possibly separate the plastic, metal, foam, and the other components? Would it be fair to post them on Free'N Exchange for someone savvy enough to repair them?
  • Net bags that apples and oranges are sold in - I have amassed probably two dozen of the non-plastic variety in the past few months. I am afraid to trash them for fear that they could strangle marine life or animals who frequent landfills. Are they compostable? If not, does anyone have any creative ideas for reuse?
  • Plastic bread bags -  I have tried using them as makeshift gloves when I slice fruit for dehydration, but they are not so handy (no pun intended). It will most likely be a few years before I will be able to buy a bread maker, so what do I do with these bags in the meantime? Is it fair to put them in the recycling bin for plastic shopping bags?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! Cool

Give the bread bags to someone you know with a dog, for picking up after it! (You know!)

Use the net bags to store onions garlic and other tube vegs. hang them with the items that you are storing and the bags will allow air the curculate around the stored items, allow spacing between each item and remove the ones that are starting to go rotten. You can use pantyhose also.
