I find that there is nothing better than a good book that examines human's relations to the environment. There are so many great ways that authors have taken up the challenge of answering the question: what do humans mean to the environment? Some are personal, some scientific, all are relevant to defining our position and our impact. Here are a couple I have greatly enjoyed:
