Libertarian Green?
Submitted by The Green ... on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 5:53pm.
The libertarian party has lately been heralded as one of the premier environmental politcal parties. If they believe in a smaller government, this kind of tosses government environmental programs out the door. Bookmark This Page |

The market works when there are proper regulatory sideboards and only then. Green Libertarians
It's not that Libertarians aren't green and don't want the same results; it's how to get there. They believe that too much governmental interference will not fix the problem, only make it worse and that the best solution is education and the free market
By Whom?
I have often puzzled about the Libertarians in regards to the environment. My experience is that they are really, really bad when it comes to general policies relating to environmental regulation, but that they might personally have strong love for a particular natural region or set of species. Some give large amounts of money to evironmental causes, but support candidates or regimes that do all that they can to dismantle four decades of environmental progress. They are a conflicted bunch, but hardly leaders in the environmental arena.
