Fleas and ticks
I am a mother of 3 XL furry children.
Rose geranium oil can repel ticks. if you're hiking in the Appalachians, it might not work. If you're just in the backyard throwing the Frisbee, you should be fine.
Citrus shampoos have a natural flea repulsion quality. A vet once told me that the flavor orange oil leaves on your pal's skin tastes bad to the fleas.
Brewers yeast is really good for dogs' skin. Taken as an oral supplement or sprinkled over the food, it is supposed to keep fleas at bay as well. My youngest had manage when I got him from the rescue, and brewers yeast and kelp helped heal the lesions. So if your friend already has bites, these supplements can boost their immune system and help the skin heal faster.
