Youth Sports not so Green?

I am trying to get kids and parrents to put their plastic bottles/Cans in a recycling container, but I still find them in the trash can. What are some way's to get them to take that extra step to the recycling can? Are there any programs out there that can help me spread the word? I am into BMX racing and see about 150 people a night @ the track.
