Hello Lisamarie21,
There are 2 ways you can access your inbox. In the header, there is a link called "My Inbox" and also, if you are in Myopolis, in the left column, click on My Account (which drops down) and then click on "My Inbox". These links will take you to an area for private messages. It isn't really email, but rather message that stay only in Greenopolis.
If you are still having difficulty, try clearing your browser cache or even reloading the page. I have noticed a lot of new features and style have been added to the site recently and perhaps your browser is using old info rather than the new stuff.
