Old CD's?

Ok, My Mum has ALOT of old CD's from the 80's ( talk about old... ) but anyways they are all scratched up and PREFERABLY un-usable. what should we do? what do you do with yours, and my Mum wants to know if they are recyclable or not.

-Jennifer Brinkman & Her Mum

sell or donate

If the CDs are still in their original cases, you can probably sell them to a used music store in your area. At $3 a pop, you could actually make some good money off of them (assuming you have as many as you say you do). Or you can donate them to a local thrift store. The proceeds will be used for supporting whatever the thrift store claims to support...The Humane Society, Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.

reuse

I think they are not recycleable. But they are Reusuable!!! A school or nursing home could use them for an art project. They also make great frisbies.

ideas for old cd

Hi, Check out the below site for ideas! Also, your mums cds may be repairable with a good cleaning. I appreciate my mom's 60s-70s albums, talk about OLD! Her Janice Joplin songs never go of style and I will say the same for A Flock of Seagulls – I Run, I Run So Far Away! But not their hair cuts! Now I have that song in my head! I think I have that in iTunes :)
