Wind energy

Hi all. I'm new to this site so I'm hoping I'm posting this in the right spot. I'm really liking the idea of wind energy being used but I was wondering everyone else's thoughts on this. It worries me that building these huge turbines are going to have a hugely negative effect on animal habitats on and off shore. Does anyone know if the government has thought of any ways to avoid this? Bookmark This Page |

Wind is great
Wind is a great source of alternative energy, but you're right that they can effect wildlife, particularly birds.
The helix wind system (http://www.helixwind.com/en/) is supposed to be safe for wildlife. Maybe the government needs to do more studies on new systems that will not only produce more power, but also be safe for birds?
