Wind energy

Hi all. I'm new to this site so I'm hoping I'm posting this in the right spot. I'm really liking the idea of wind energy being used but I was wondering everyone else's thoughts on this. It worries me that building these huge turbines are going to have a hugely negative effect on animal habitats on and off shore. Does anyone know if the government has thought of any ways to avoid this?

Wind is great

Wind is a great source of alternative energy, but you're right that they can effect wildlife, particularly birds.

The helix wind system (http://www.helixwind.com/en/) is supposed to be safe for wildlife. Maybe the government needs to do more studies on new systems that will not only produce more power, but also be safe for birds?

I'd rather be camping!
