guys i just saw the most SADDEST commercials I hav seen in my WHOLE entire life. One was about global warming. Polar bears. (a momma and her baby) They we on a chunk of ice floating in water. They were dying of hunger looking around for food. I'm totally going to ask my mom and dad to let me sign up.
The other one is about the ASPCA my second grade teacher works their. It was about animals being abused for nothing at all. my face was flood with tears. What do you people think about this? I am signing up for the ASPCA or i'm going to adopt a pet there. As I was saying what do you people think? This is horrible! People should be sent in Jail for animal abuse and animal cruelty.
I can't talk about this anymore. I am soo sad. Please comment. Well bye, JadieFriend Bookmark This Page |

Those commercials are sooo
Those commercials are sooo sad!! I am glad they're out there, though, cuz I think they do help, and it shows that people care about the causes. Both of which are encouraging, but it still takes a lot for me to be able to sit through them :(
Saving the animals
I cry every time the ASPCA commercial comes on. I have to change the channel right away. But there are a ton of things you can do to help.
Controlling the population is a great first step. Where we are, there is a great program called Catlanta that helps reduce the feral cat population. It's a trap, spay. and release program that keeps them from making homeless babies. They have good statistics on stray animal solutions. And it's only $20 to save a life! Maybe there is a program like it in your area.

Since you can only rescue a finite number of animals, donating time is another solution. There are probably no-kill shelters in your area that operate on donations. They really need someone to walk dogs and scoop litter boxes. Sweat and muscle donations are a big deal to these organizations.

There are also a lot of little things you can do to give to animal wellness organizations. Many banks offer the option to purchase checks from the ASPCA (though few people use checks anymore). The vehicle tax commission often has ASPCA license plates.

I understand where you're coming from. Those commercials are heart-breaking. =(
